Believe it or not, one BIG contributor to lens errors is using a camera case. Probably what happened was that while it was in your purse, somehow the power button got pressed. It won't allow me to take a picture, and usually it shuts off within the first 15 seconds of turning it on. Something is preventing the lens from coming out all the way, so the camera reacts by shutting down. I let someone use it and this is the condition it was returned in. Afterward, the screen shows what the lens is pointing at, but then it goes white and the words, "Lens Error" appears.

Hi... A repair shop had estimated £50 just to open it up (no guarantee of fixing it) and it was all looking hopeless... I guess i threw my bookbag around and now i have this "lens error, restart camera." The lens froze halfway and it's staying that way. now it wont go back in, and one side is in more then the other due to the angle of the fall, i read the comments with the same exz75 owners
